Tour/Travel Coordinator - Bangalore

Our client is an  Outbound Tour Operator promoting packages to exotic & exquisite destinations spread across Europe, South Africa Australia ,Kenya , New Zealand and Seychelles , Mauritius, etc. They have their own offices in Bangalore and Chennai and strong relationships with the travel trade in India. Job Responsibilities

1. Operational assistance to CEO in :
1.1 Preparation of travel itineraries and quotes for clients for chosen destinations
1.2 Coordination / follow up with overseas partners, air ticketing agents, visa agents and associated service providers to fulfill # 1.1 above
1.3 Preparation and dissemination of marketing/ promotional material to client database
1.4 Research on facilities available in destinations, including accommodation, excursion, connectivity etc options, and making informed decisions and recommendations to CEO
1.5 Any other allied activity delegated by CEO

2. Interacting with clients to finalize travel requirements                

3. Proactive enhancement of destination knowledge using internet, in-house resources and Tourism Boards / local representatives of respective destinations

4. Client Interface
2.1 Assist clients to make the best decision about tour / travel / holiday plans.
2.2 Based on client decision (after discussions), offer input on optimum flight routing, hotel accommodations, local tours/excursions/attractions, local conveyance, weather, required documents, currency exchange rates etc
5. Promote special  travel packages & services in the market (email / tel)

Desired Profile

Must have skills

1. Have 2 + years experience in a similar position and responsibilities
2. Passion for travel with sound knowledge of international destinations and designing, planning
tour / holiday packages to the same
3. Excellent skills in computer office suites (spreadsheets, word, powerpoint etc), email
applications and internet usage
4. Fluent written and spoken English with excellent communication skills
5. Professional telephone etiquette
6. Initiative and ability to work independently
7. Ability to collate data into a ready-to-use database

Like to have skills

1. Personal experience of traveling, preferably overseas
2. Ability to handle demanding clients
3. Ability to multi-task without compromise on quality of work output
4. Graphic design skills will be a distinct advantage

Others

Candidates Residing in close proximity to Malleswaram or having independent transport will be most preferred
