About Our Client

Our client is a Chennai based group of companies engaged in marine industry for the past 55 years with 14 branches in maritime states of India with a network of 43 Dealers and 120 Authorised Service Centres . They are sole representatives for decades for a hand full of MNC brands supplying Marine engines, lubes and other items  to the marine industry.

Job Description

You will handling the accounting activities of the Head Office and the various branch offices. You will be responsible for end to end activities of the accounts department from book keeping upto finalization ,statutory compliance, payroll, finance, banking, export/import , Auditing, etc. You will manage & provide direction to a team of accountants and report to GM F & A.

Desired Profile

Qualifications  - Any degree, preferably B.Com ( Nice if you have a PG in finance)

Experience – 15 + years in handling Core Accounts and strong exposure to Banking matters

Desired Skills

Candidate should have the ability to handle the below mentioned functions

      ·         Ability to Maintain  a robust accounting system confirming to industry standards, following SOP

·         Having core competency in Banking activities  – Credit Facilities,Commercial Borrowings, BG,LC,Forex, CC, CMA report, QIS Report

·         Good experience in costing.

·         Monthly Accounts closing and preparing the P & L, Balance Sheet

     ·         Strong in fund flow management: planning & forecasting for receivables/payables/working capital, Cash flow etc..

·         Payroll Processing of HO  and branch employees & statutory deductions of ESI,PF,PT,TDS,etc.

·         Preparation of Budget, Analyzing the Actuals and Variances reports

·         Bank Reconciliation ( BRS ) of all branches as well as HO

·         Administration of  branch stock  and preparation of Monthly/qtr/annual stock statements

·         Filing of Income Tax, TDS, GST,etc. on monthly basis.

·         Ability to monitor, direct and provide leadership to the accounts dept team and ensure they perform upto expected level.

·         Engage with statutory auditors & support GM in smoothly closing annual accounts.
