General Manger – Civil Projects & General Maintenance

Job profile 

The incumbent of this position should be able to handle the below mentioned responsibilities 

Projects 

·         Preparation of proposals for management –jobs relating to expansion or modification.

·         Prepare cost estimation of the projects and submit for approval.

·         Prepare project schedule and execution process.

·         Suggest management for selection of architects, contractors, and suppliers.

·         Preparing project budget and apprising the same with management for approval.

·         Co-ordinate with government departments for getting statutory approval for project implementation.

·         Overall, should be responsible for timely execution of the projects within the approved cost estimate.

·         Responsible for Budget Vs actuals for both maintenance and new projects 

Liaising woks 

·         Coordinate with local EB and other government offices for smooth operation.

·         Oversee the FMS vendor for all  technical activities.

·         Coordinate with all AMC vendors.

·         Coordinate with the Admin Dept  regarding all day-to day activities.

·         Coordinate with Admin Dept for submission of yearly maintenance budget and implementation of the same after approval. 

Maintenance: Day to day 

·         Building maintenance of hostels, academic blocks, and service department units.

·         Monitoring all electrical equipment.

·         Monitoring plumbing and water supply in the campus.

·         Monitoring STPs and WTPs for daily needs.

·         Maintenance of AC units in academic blocks and hostels.

·         Maintenance of landscaping and garden in and around campus.

·         Controlling maintenance inventories procured from Stores. 

Desired Profile 

Qualification – BE Civil / Electrical / EEE , Having MBA will be an advantage 

Experience – 15 + yrs in construction projects 

Desired Skills 

·         Must have all round experience :Civil projects, Electrical, HVAC, General Maintenance, etc..

·         Good written, communication, and presentation skills

·         Enthusiastic, proactive, flexible and constructive approach

·         Ability to meet and exceed targets with a keen eye on planning and execution

·         Strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and positive attitude

·         Must be capable of giving leadership and direction to team members

·         Good Techno-commercial skills

·         Candidates must be from South Chennai or willing to shift close to site

You will be  a part of the Branding & Publishing department of the institute. You will be responsible for all marketing collaterals from end to end i.e., conceptualizing ,planning, designing  & delivery . Experience –3+ yrs of relevant experience in media industry

Job Responsibilities 

·                Develop and improve marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, and tactics

·                Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media

·                Coordinate all public relations activities of the institute

·                Direct social media team to engage audiences across traditional and new media

·                Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media

·                Manage media inquiries and interview requests

·                Create and improve content for press releases, by-line articles and keynote presentations

·                Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a monthly basis

·                Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis

·                Build relationships with thought leaders and stakeholders to grow industry awareness

·                Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting the education sector and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them 

Desired Skills

 While it is desired that the candidate have hands on experience in the above defined responsibilities, the key skills factors desired for this position is as follows

  • Proven track record in designing and executing successful PR campaigns at a national level
  • Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
  • Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print interviews
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Solid experience with social media and digital PR including blogs and mainstream social media (LinkedIn, Instagram etc.)
  • Should be able to execute independently
  • Excellent spoken , written & presentation skills in English
  • Highly Computer Savvy

Job Responsibilities

·  Computation / Verification of Vendor invoices.

·  Revenue and Capital expenditure classifications of the vendor invoices.

·  Vendor GL reconciliation, Aged Payable Analysis, Tracking of Advances to Vendor

·  Recording of Journal Entries in SAP

·  Ensure TDS, TCS are adjusted before payment.

·  Process vendor payment, statutory payment and any approved payment via RTGS/ NEFT / IMPS.

·  Reconcile successful payment, bounced back payment and update the record.

·  Pay advices to the vendor

 Qualification : B.Com 

Experience : 2 to 3 years Experience, preferably from Manufacturing sector 

Desired Skills

Candidate should have hands on experience in the below mentioned functions

 

·         Accounting: AP,AR,GL,BRS

·         Vendor reconciliation , Aging analysis, etc.

·         Online Banking: NEFT,IMPS,RTGS

·         Taxation: GST & TDS

·         MIS – Strong working knowledge in Advance Excel

·         Preferably with working knowledge of SAP T-Codes
