company that is part of a large Chennai based group. They handle the outsourced
Air Cargo business for Indian operations for an MNC cargo airline in carrying
freight, mail and courier traffic to global destinations. Their experienced
operational and commercial team takes pride in delivering high levels of
performance and customer care.
Job Description
Your primary job responsibility will be delivering
sales excellence with Customers. They need to deliver improving quality net
revenues from the area of responsibility through effective account and product
management. The individual need to build strong relationships with the clients
and thereby offer the best solutions to the customers
Job Location: Bangalore
Qualification –
Any Degree
Experience – 3+
yrs, preferably from Air Cargo industry

- Strong negotiation and bargaining skills
- Comfortable in a multitasking environment and role
- Tenacious work attitude.
- Thorough knowledge of the Principal’s products, service, network, pricing and organization.
- Understanding of cargo operations
- Good knowledge in Word/Excel
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Fluency in local language is desirable
- Ability to travel extensively within the region as required
Roles &
Responsibilities
- Drive the sales strategy of the Principal.
- Maintain and produce monthly trackers against targets and incentives.
- Thorough use and documentation selling tools – Call Plans, Account Development Plans, Account Profiles, etc.
- Build and strengthen relationships with shippers/exporters – through joint initiatives with the Principal’s Customers.
- Manage and grow targeted or forecasted net rate & tonnage deliverables.
- Cultivate a portfolio of profitable customer accounts.
- Sell our diverse range of products suitable for the customers’ needs.
- Ensure timely CSR payments.
- Effectively interact with Senior Managers and Directors of customer companies.
- Manage customer expectations.
- Embracing change should quickly adapt to changing business flows and measures of selling like yield, revenue per cubic meter, net rate, proration, interline revenue, etc.
- Serve as a conduit between the customer and Customer Services to help tailor business solutions and share customer service reports.
- Contribute to the development of marketing & commercial plans to drive incremental yields.
- Deliver targeted transshipment sales to promote capacity utilization.
- Effectively use business tools WACD reports etc.
- Maintain a professional image of client and the Airline in the trade circles
- Create team culture and engender a climate of continuous support.
- Create both team and individual goals that meet the customer needs, whilst initiating personal development.
