Finance Manager – India & UAE : Travel Industry


About Our Client

Our client is   one of the world’s leading leisure travel companies  & operates in over 180 countries with more than 30 million customers. They provide hotel accommodation, transfers, excursions and tours, meetings and events and cruise handling services to tour operators, travel agents, corporate clients and direct to the consumer.  They have their Integrated Business Process centre  in India with  20 service centers to serve the traveling clients in allied services.

Job Profile

You will play a key part in the planning, implementation, management and delivery of operations for all finance related matters across the pan-India region. Business partnering is essential to support the whole organisation reaching its ambitious goals.Along with the Finance Assistant reporting to you, you will be supporting the finance integration work stream, ensuring continuous finance services are operated smoothly during the initial transition period.

Key Responsibilities

·         Preparation of monthly management accounts, P&L and Balance sheet.
·         Perform Accounting, Reconciliations and Reporting within group deadlines.
·         Preparation of cash flow forecasts
·         Manage the migrations of Finance processes from 11 locations
·         Prepare and submit the annual budget
·         Create accurate expense budgets for each division
·         Ensure compliance with national financial and tax legislation and all related policies
·         Statutory filing with Government Departments – Income tax / service tax
·         Coordination with both statutory and internal audit
·         Implement, and manage ERP and MIS systems
·         Service delivery on timeliness and accuracy as per agreed SLA’s
·         Analyse KPI's and financials to drive improvement within the business
·         Manage the payroll system and ensure that all employees are paid on time
·         Provide training  and support to ensure financially awareness.
·         Manage, motivate and provide opportunities for direct reports and ensure team members are engaged
·         Manage work load and delegate as and when appropriate
·         Work within deadlines, support the business  a business partner to all other departments

Desired Profile

  • Qulaification -  Finance background and qualification. CA / ICAI / ICWA or equivalent would be a plus
  • Experience -  8 years relevant experience in a similar role within an international company or 5 years as a Finance Manager.
  • Flexibility and the ability to travel mostly within India
  • Results orientated, attention to details and with the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-national environment with excellent interpersonal skills and strong cultural versatility and empathy (including comfortable lead projects within a matrix organization)
  • Excellent communication skills, with a full proficiency level of the English language.
  • Leadership & ability to motivate and energize colleagues and subordinates  to positively stimulate the progress of projects
  • Proficiency in Back Office & Accounting/Financial systems
