Our client  have a manufacturing unit in Chennai in collaboration  with a Korean giant to be among the first to produce wet brake , wet clutch system, Friction Disc etc. for automobile & heavy vehicle  industry .  They are quality driven company and have a reputation for reliability. They take pride in being large enough to handle any kind of requirement and yet small enough to give personalized attention to address the customized needs of the client.  They are expanding production and are having aggressive plans for growth .

Job Description

You will be responsible for   managing the stores department of the production unit. Hence, you will play a pivotal role  between the production  and purchase department  and ensue efficient management of raw materials &  spares to bring about cost effective materials management

Desired Profile

Qualification –  Any Degree , preferably Diploma / BE – Mechanical

Experience – 10 + years of experience preferably in the Automotive sector ( No plastic )

Skills

·         Ability to strategically plan & execute Material management operations 

·         Strong hands on skills in working in SAP 

·         Booking Inward, Materials from suppliers (GRN )

·          Maintenance of stock register.

·          Issuing materials to production as per indent (MRN) given Production, by using FIFO method,      

·         Efficiently Maintaining  minimum stock level of materials to support non-stop production

·         Taking Periodical  Reports of daily inward status, stock status, work in progress , rejection, etc

·         Inventory control Activities.

·         Efficient   Scrap management & Disposal

·          Materials Rejection management & report.

·         Should be able to exhibit strong leadership & mentoring capabilities.
